It is a chemical used to harden the plastic. It’s been used traditionally in manufacturing many plastic articles like cups, dish, drinking bottles, straws. Now a days in Canada and United states of America, government awareness helps people to keep away from BPA as much possible as they can using BPA free products.

How are humans exposed?

Human exposure is mainly due to eating of food and drinking liquids which were in contact with BPA. BPA can leach from plastic container into food and beverages or in medicine if stored in a container having BPA. heat, scratch and roughness on container release more BPA to contained food, liquid or medicine. Usually, it gets rid of the body in 24 hours, but repeated exposure can produce measurable body level of BPA which can produce harmful effect to body on short or long run.

How are Humans and animal got affected ?

Animals are more studied compare to human to check the effect of BPA. In some studies, fertility, negative behavioral effects, fatal death, low birth weight, changes in brain development of offspring have been reported in animals. Small number of studies have been performed over the human being with small sample size and very limited study trial found to increase the level of testosterone in all genders. Polycystic ovary syndrome, miscarriage and DNA related defect has been studies and reported to have association between BPA exposure to human being.

How do we help consumer to avoid BPA?

• We do promote BPA free products to all our customers which contain non-BPA plastic like polypropylene.
• We strongly recommend avoiding any scratched articles like baby bottles, infant feeding cups, and water bottles which may leak the BPA content if it is not BPA fee.
• We use virgin polypropylene granules only to make a product.
• We recommend avoiding heating of any plastic article.
